Ahhh...

Twice in one day... WOW!!

Thought I would share some great pictures from down memory lane. It was 2 years ago this Saturday (but not to the date, it was April 10th 2009) that my best friend asked me to marry him. Many laughs, smiles and a few tears later, I couldn't be happier! I love you Nathan John!!

I will cherish these memories for the rest of our life!
And they lived happily ever after...

Hey there stranger...

Well with spring right around the corner, we are all itching to get out of the house! Also we are in the middle of getting our computer fixed hence the reason I only have one picture on here.

~More to follow next time~

All is going great at the Thompson household-

***

We started a few things for the garden in the house already;

herbs, beans, and pumpkins. More being planted this week!

***

Kyleah is anxious for summer and school to be done, no official countdown has started... Yet! She will celebrate her First Communion this month.

***

Aubrie is the 'star' student this week at school and had a lot of fun getting stuff together for that. She wants to be an artist when she grows up, this week ;o)

***

Parker, this little boy is one of a kind. He is up 'rockin' on all 4's. Getting ready to conquer the world. Also not only got his first (2) teeth March 3 but we found out last night that he now has his 2 eye teeth. We suspect his 2 front teeth are not far behind. That makes 4 teeth for 'Little T'. He also has started eating some of the things we eat for dinner; sweet potatoes, bean's, pea's, and other mushy things. Can't help but just bust up and laugh at the little guy. Quite the ham...

***

Nathan brought home his plow truck yesterday, boy oh boy was he excited. When he drove it home Sunday he looked about as excited as a small child in a candy store. He is also loving the weather, getting everything ready this year for another great year on the farm. Maybe even a little more prepared.

***

Me, well I am just trucking along. Loving my eye-sight!!! Nothing beats not having to wear glasses. I went in for my follow up and have 20/15. Between working in town and at the school I have found that the nights we get to stay home and do nothing really make me smile. I find true enjoyment in coming home from work to my beautiful family.

***

As far as the family as a whole, we are doing wonderful. Looking forward to this camping season. We purchased a 2009 springdale camper. Something right up our alley! We enjoy camping and can't wait to get out and enjoy Minnesota. With about 8 trips planned for the summer already, it is sure to fly by.

Baptism

On January 2nd our family was blessed with Parker's Baptism. He did so well during the service and looked like such a little saint!

Here are a few pictures from Parker John's big day.
Handsome himself... all smiles!

During the service.

After the service was over we continued the celebration over at our house with family and friends. We feel so blessed with all the love and support that we continue to get. We couldn't have done it without all of you!

Enjoy the next few cold days. We're having a heat wave... a tropical heat wave...

Internet for the country bumpkins...

Well what can I say, Nathan and I have broke down and got wildblue internet. We will see how this works out for us.

I took a few pictures the other day, thought I would showcase them also right away.
This is our annual family craft night. We hang out have egg nog, paint and just be a family. This year was extra special because we had a newbeeeeee, Parker! YAY!!! We had a great night and can't wait to do it again.

Parker John relaxing.

Kyleah and Aubrie, our beautiful girls, before Ky's 5th grade Christmas Concert.

The days continue to fly by. It honestly seems as though I just had Parker and now he is almost 3 months old. The girls are loving all this snow. I have finally convinced them that you can make memories that last a lifetime. I have had to tell them stories about mud pies made in the summer, playing drive thru in the summer and over course the famous snowmobile/saucer sled fun! Nathan continues to pile the snow up to make a huge hill for the girls to sled down. Things continue to be crazy as ever, busy with never a dull moment but this is how we love life!

Happy Holidays,

Love- Nathan, Tina, Kyleah, Aubrie, and Parker

2010 The closing of a great year!

Lots to be so grateful for this year.

Nathan and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary. We had a great date night in St. Cloud, went for dinner and acted like teenagers in love. We exchanged our 'paper' in honor of the 1st year, had a laugh, shed a tear, had dinner with our children and even lit our unity candle again. We have decided that every year on our anniversary that we would light it in honor of the vows we exchanged.

The kids... Well we are so blessed to have beautiful, healthy children. Kyleah is nearing the middle of the year in 5th grade. It has been a trying year for her, she is going through lots of changes. Classes are getting a little more difficult, boys are now 'cute', she is thinking about joining band, swimming lessons, homework, chores, etc. Welcome to a day in her mind. Plus she got a cell phone... REALLY... I didn't have one until I was on my own?!?!?! Aubrie, she is our daring little doll. She is loving 1st grade. She is working on being more independent. Remembering to bring all her stuff home on a daily basis, completing her homework, swimming lessons, and just being a 6 year old who loves being a kid. With having a older sister we get to hear lots of great things such as; When can I get a cell phone? When can I start wearing bras? When can I stay up later? When can I... Wow, we don't quite know what we are in for when she turns 10 because right now that is our saving grace. Parker, he is our little man who steals our hearts away every night. It is really kind of funny when we are all gone for the day and we get home for the night. It is kind of a race to see who can get to him first. It usually ends up the he lays on the floor with 4 people around him talking to him. Parker is 8 weeks old today and he is already a boy of many talents. He is holding his head up, with some bobs yet. He loves to talk to us and boy oh boy a smile that can melt ice! He is our brown eyed little boy whom we all love to spoil. It is funny at night when Nathan and I are just up and talking, we often find ourselves wondering where we would be without our kids. They are our life!!!

To wrap up the year, we have lots to be thankful for. Not a day goes by that we don't tell our children how important they are to us. Not a day goes by that we don't take the time to kiss and hug them. Everyday is a gift and living it up is more fulfillment that one can imagine.

Here are 5 things that we do/think daily:

1. Everyday is surprise.
2. Our love is limitless, superhuman power.
3. We have realized that true joy doesn't come from material wealth
4. We don't mind going to bed on a Friday night at 9pm.
5. We take better care of our children then ourselves.

We are a busy family! I tried to make a goal this year for myself to update this blog more often and I have found out that as a mother/wife/best friend and woman I really don't have all that much time to do updates. I do my best!

Again I hope that this blog finds everyone in great health, good spirits and enjoy this time of the year. Enjoy your family, give them an extra squeeze and make sure to tell them how much you love them!

WOWZA... lot's going on and I am tired!

WOW, I have got to be setting some kind of a record or something!!! Blogging again?!?!?

Well the Thompson Farm has yet once again grown. We now have 73 chickens. I had to beg for these. Nathan insisted we have enough stuff going on in our lives that we didn't need any chickens. So we went in the the Tom Chap family and bought some. It is so much fun doing the chores, honestly! I love the feeling of knowing that there is actually stuff outside in our barn's, dog's and cat's. There is just this little feeling of country. So yes, we have chickens now AND Nathan even mentioned the other day about possibly getting some laying hen's. Things are looking up for the farm.
The girls are enjoying summer to no end. Kyleah is staying very busy with summer school and different activities such as swimming lessons and a track & field camp. Aubrie has been hanging out with her friends and with passing her swimming class last fall, she is unable to move up until she turns 6. Soooo she is very excited for her birthday!
Nathan is doing such a wonderful job on the house, we are so proud of him! This last weekend he put all the finishing touches on the electrical work upstairs. So we now have lights up there and of course as he would say 'the fart fan' works. We made our weekly trip to the man store yesterday and bought ceiling paint and primer. Things are truly coming right along. Nathan is getting very excited to start painting. Seriously! We have picked out the colors for our room, Parker's room and the bathroom. All very neutral and calming colors.
Me on the other hand, well with life being so busy I usually just hold on and try to figure out which way to go when I am asked. Being pregnant is not always the easiest thing in the world and I am noticing that the bigger I get the harder it is for me to do things. I am nearing my third trimester... YAY!!! This week marks a great milestone for me!!!! I can't wait. The girls continue to let me know that I am growing, I guess as nice as they possibly can. Nathan just says that I am beautiful, I think he knows better ;o) The other night it was kind of funny I didn't know but everyone was watching Parker beat me up on the inside for about 45 minutes. It is getting to the point now where I have to give him a little push back to easy up on the pressure. All in all though we are doing wonderful.
This past Saturday night, Nathan and I met up with his neice Katie for sushi at Kona's grill in Eden Prairie. It was SOOO delicious. We left and I told Nathan that I was ready to head back there for more!!! He laughed at me, little did he know that I was being completely honest!
